Hills District Martial Arts: Taekwondo, Haidong Gumdo & Hapkido

TKD Kids (5-6yrs)

The Taekwondo Kids program is an innovative class combining FUN LEARNING, EXERCISE and PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. We strive to make sure our students get the most out of every class by learning something new, getting active and having lots of fun!

This class is split into two programs: Taekwondo Kids Minis (3-4yrs) and Taekwondo Kids (5-6yrs) to maximise the benefits of the class for their development. It's a great way to set your child up for a future of success and prepare for school with a structured environment of respect and discipline!

What will my child learn?

TKD Kids follow a specialised Taekwondo system which includes basic techniques and fun learning methods such as games and challenges!

TKD Kids is a great way to set your child up for future success in both Taekwondo and their day-to-day life! We teach our kids far more than just kicking and punching. We use Taekwondo as a method of teaching VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS such as respect for others, listening and following instructions, using manners, social etiquette, introducing themselves and much more!

We love to sit with our kids and chat! Every class begins with a few minutes of Mat Chat on different topics including Manners, Self-Control, Focus, Respect for Others, Bullying and when to use Taekwondo, and much more.

The TKD Kids program is centered on Self-Improvement and Personal Development. Your child will learn to develop;

  • Mental Skills (confidence, focus, discipline, memory and self-control)
  • Social Skills (teamwork, leadership, manners and respect)
  • Physical Skills (balance, power, speed and flexibility)
